I think what happens after Easter is even more important than the Easter celebration in itself because, after the resurrection, Jesus gives us definite instructions and guidelines on how we are to live our lives on earth when He is gone.

Let’s take a peep into the Bible, shall we.

In the books of Mathew through to John, it was recorded that after Jesus rose from the dead, He visited several of His disciples, at different times, to –

  • Open their eyes and mind that they may understand what they formally had issues understanding.
  • Prove to them that all what He had always told them about God, His power and Mercies, were true.
  • Assure them that the battle has been truly won and is now over
  • Promise them the impartation of the Holy Spirit.

This experience should be seen as a rebirth and what better time to have a rebirth than now; with everything that is going on in our world today!

At this moment, Jesus is in your house, by your side, telling you that the battle is over; That He is now giving you the power to tread upon the Lion and the Adder; That you can now place a decree on how you want things to happen around you, in your world, and it will come to pass as you have decreed, provided it is in line with the Lord’s word and backed by the name of Jesus.

He is telling you today, that He has replaced in your hand, the authority over your world, your continent and your people. That all you have to do is to open your mouth and decree the things you want to see, believe in your heart that you have already received it and it shall be done according to your faith.

Then, He adds a caveat.

In the book of Acts, chapter 1 and verses 4 to 5; Jesus strictly told the Apostles (in this context, you and I) not leave Jerusalem (our locations) but wait for the gift that The Father promised them (us). He went on to say that in a few days, we will be baptized with The Holy Spirit.

Then in verse 8, He tells us that when The Holy Spirit comes upon us, we will be filled with power and we will be witnesses for Him through out the world.

So, what should we be doing after the Easter celebration?

We should open our mouth and heart and ask the Lord for an outpour of The Holy Spirit into us.

We should continue to pray this prayer until we receive The Holy Spirit.

The moment you receive the Holy Spirit, (When He comes into you, you will know instantly that He has arrived because, your mind will renewed and filled with so much wisdom of the words and ways of God) that is the time to tell the world about God and His power.

Thank God that we live in the social media age, where a single Instagram or Facebook post will reach the eyes and minds of thousands of people in different parts of the world. And that is exactly what we will be doing; posting about God, His ways, His power and His might on all the platforms that we are on.

I pray that our Lord Jesus Christ gives us the strength to carry out these instructions in Jesus name, Amen.
